Hello Crafty Internet!
I am back with some cards I made using the Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit. This kit is one of my favorites. They stuffed it with lots of goodies. The kit is sold out, but you can find the stamp set here.
The kit contents:
This kit included an embossing pen, matte medium, embossing powder, great papers, flower die, and a wonderful stamp set. they also included a sheet of gold paper that was incredibly fun to play with. I couldn’t pass it up.
For this card I used scraps from another card. For the butterfly die cut I added the embossing powder included in the kit and heat set to create a very nice shine.
I kept this one simple with Simon Says Stamp die cuts, both the flower and the sentiment. I added Nuvo drops to the center of the little flowers.
This card is my favorite of the bunch. I die cut the tag from patterned paper included in the kit and heat embossed the die cut sentiment. I paper pieced the leaves from the scrap and added Nuvo drops.
This card was easy. I simply took the brush stroke stamps and added embossing powder to everything. I really like the way it turned out.
For this card I used some some more patterned paper scraps to create blocks. I heat embossed the sentiment with the powder included in the kit. I also used a technique from Jennifer McGuire and used my glue pen to add dots and embossed those as well. I really like the effect.
.For this card I took the negative of the flower die and added some stems with the embossing pen that was included in the kit. I embossed the sentiment and thought this made a cute card.
I made a total of 8 cards with this kit (so far) and I have plenty of supplies to make more. I think my favorite card is the tag card. It just came out so pretty.
I did a lot of embossing and really love the embossing pen included in the kit. As usual, I kept the cards clean and simple. I dug into my paper die stash for some of the cards and used items I hadn’t played with in a while. I really enjoyed this kit.
