Cardmaking, Just Creating

Rainbow Valentine

Hello, Crafty Internet! Today I have a quick and simple card for you. Valentine’s Day is close and some people get into the spirit of the holiday by making their own valentines to give to their loved ones. This card is so easy you really don’t need a lot of supplies. Also, I did not take a before or during picture because I put it together very quickly. Because I have more stuff than space, I was in the middle of rearranging my crafty spot when the idea struck.

And so, when I found a piece of rainbow colored watercolor paper and had the dies in my hand, the card sprang fully formed in my mind. I immediately paused in my organizing efforts and put this together. The heart die cuts are from the Ellen Hudson Folk Hearts die set, designed by Julie Ebersole. I stacked the two largest dies and popped the middle up on foam squares to add dimension. The sentiment came from Simon Says Stamp Thoughtful Messages stamp set that I white heat embossed on the card base.

I didn’t add any Wink of Stella because I was concerned with reactivating the watercolor and having a mess on my hands. Sadly, I don’t remember what watercolor product I used to make the panel. I didn’t want to risk it.

Sorry for the short post and lack of pictures. I will do better with my next project. The February kit from My Creative Scrapbook has arrived and I have so many new goodies to play with!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sarah
