Cardmaking

Hunkydory Faberdashery

Hello, Crafty Internet. Today I am sharing a very simple card I created with the Faberdashery stamp set from Hunkydory Crafts Limited. I purchased this stamp set from Paper Wishes a long time ago. It has been sitting in my stash just waiting for its moment to shine.

The set is full of flowery images and sewing things that spark all kinds of ideas. The flower image I used for this stamp looked perfect for a Spring card and I jumped right into it. I don’t get into the Easter bunny/eggs thing much, but I do love flowers and other Springtime things. We have been experiencing such dreary weather lately, I am longing for some color and that spilled over to this card.

I stamped the image with my Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink. It is perfect to use when stamping images you intend to color with alcohol markers. I used my Copics to color the flowers. If I make this card again, I will use watercolor paper and use my Zig watercolor markers.

At first, I thought to put the panel on a card base that was black but it lost the Springtime feel that I was going for so I switched it out for a light green background. I used my Corner Chomper from We R Memory Keepers for round the edges of the base and the panel.

I thought this card was super cute as is. Then I heard the Nuvo Drops calling so…

I like the way it turned out. It feels very much like a Spring card to me. The sentiment is a delicate script that adds a touch of elegance.

This is a quick and easy card that didn’t take long to bring together. It could be mass produced very easily to create a set of note cards to give as a gift or to keep on hand to use.
