Cardmaking, Just Creating

Altenew did a nice thing

Hello, Crafty Internet. Today I want to share a card made with a free gift from Altenew. I have been a customer of Altenew for a while and I love their stamps. They have some of the best flower images out there. Their inks are out of this world! It is hard to find anything they offer that is not a quality item to use in card making and paper crafting. As a thank you to their customers they sent out this:

It is a lovely flower stamp with my name in stamp form and I love it so much! I have gotten free goodies from companies before. It is usually a little thing thrown in the box once a minimum is met with an order. It is a nice gesture and always appreciated as this can be an expensive hobby because I want all the things. This is the first time I have ever received a stamp set just because I bought something from them once upon a time. How sweet is that?? And it isn’t just a crap stamp either. This is quality.

So I made this with it:

I put together a very simple card using the flower image and a die cut sentiment. The frame border was created using 2 rectangle dies. I embossed the flower image with black powder and heat set. Then I grabbed my water color pens and did a quick color. I didn’t worry about shading or anything, I just let it do as it wanted. The embossing kept the color from bleeding into other parts of the flower. I added some Nuvo drops in black to give it a little more interest.

I just love this little stamp set. It is such a thoughtful gift and so unexpected. Well done, Altenew.
