All About You – MFT

Hello, Crafty Internet! Today, I am sharing with you a set of cards I made using the All About You stamp & die set from My Favorite Things. I also used an image from the Adorable Elephants stamp & die set for these cards. These cards are clean and simple and came together very quickly.

The ingredients:

These two stamp sets are among my favorites. The All About You set has so many sentiments that there is something for any card you may wish to make. Not pictured is a piece of Tim Holtz water color paper I had in my stash of a rainbow colored background I created at some point. It didn’t exactly work as a background so I used it to die cut part of the sentiment.

Here is everything cut out. I colored the elephants with Copic markers: C1, C3, & RV11 (to add some pink to the ears.).

The background was created using the Bold Diagonal Stripes background stamp from My Favorite Things and Grout Gray ink. I wanted the die cut word to stand out nicely and the light gray background was just the thing.

For this first card, I attached the die cut off center and ended up having to cut the panel down. I decided not to cut down the card base and left it as is. Wink of Stella glitter pen applied to the letters finished the card off. I may add something to the bottom if I can find something that works. I added foam tape to the letters and image to add some dimension to the card.

Here are the four cards finished. I like how they turned out. While the rainbow water-colored paper didn’t work as a background it worked amazingly well as die cuts. The little elephant adds a finishing touch that I think is very cute. These cards were super easy and super fast to put together. As I look over them now, I am considering adding some clear sequins or gems to them to add a little more interest.
